Types of Scents and What They Do For the Body, Mind and Spirit

What are Pure Essential Oils (PEO) and in what sense are they essential? A PEO is present in tiny droplets or sacs in the plant. These oils are not greasy at all, but are highly volatile, meaning that they easily evaporate. It is the PEO vapor that you smell when you come close to a fragrant flower or aromatic herb. They are only essential in the sense that they are very concentrated. Read more about Pure Essential Oils and their uses in my weekly blog, Scents that Make Sense.
